New Options for Field of Membership and Dealing with Problem Members

I have work on credit union Field of Membership and common bonds–which limit who is eligible to join a particular credit union–over the years from the public policy, litigation and supervisory approval standpoints.  Check out my new article for Credit Union Executives Society on the D.C. Circuit Court of Appealsrecent decision on geographic Fields of Membership and also on new options federal credit unions have for dealing with problem members.  Federal credit unions now have new options for expanding their Fields of Membership and also for suspending services to members who are disruptive or who cause a loss to the credit union, but only if they act by making a Field of Membership expansion application or adopt the National Credit Union Administration‘s new Member in Good Standing bylaw provision.  Please read my article for more details!
